| Yes, we are a livery service. We don't have stretch limousines. We don't wear tuxedos. Not sure what a livery service does? The difference between a livery service and a taxi service: a livery service does work by reservation. A livery service is also known as a car service. PAYMENT As a rule, all of our drivers are prepared to accept cash for payment. Although we generally accept credit cards (a $20 minimum) some drivers may not be equipped with credit card processing equipment and will stop at an ATM for you. ABOUT SAFETY The maximum limit for one group in a minivan is six passengers... five passengers if there is ANY luggage. Small children MUST be in car seats. Booster seats are appropriate for toddlers and children 6 years or under, rear-facing car seats for babies. In the summer, all vehicles have "all-season" tires. In the winter those tires are changed to brand-new snow tires with deep treads. The oil in our engines is changed twice a month. Our brakes are professionally maintained. CLIENTS Our services are regularly requested by Meadowmount School of Music, SUNY Plattsburgh,Vermont Law School, Vermont Studio Center, Norwich University and a number of other institutions. About our rates: Our rates are often lower than you might expect in a livery service. It isn't because the quality of our service is poor. Nothing like that. It is because we often "take a loss" in order to help. While gas prices are rising, our rates stay reasonable. |
